1. “Introspection as to the source of one’s fear response gives clarity on why one is experiencing fear. Once the source of the fear is identified, fear transforms into making a choice. Fear is a tool that provides direction in our life; use it to one’s advantage!”

  3. IT’S TIME TO STOP WASTING TIME!

One of my ALL TIME favorite people is Joseph Campbell. This man was AMAZING. If you don’t know who he is, stop right now and Google him.

Joseph Campbell spent his lifetime studying the structure of all stories and mythologies and found out that basically they are all the same story. Many different versions of the same story.

And so, after studying these Joe came to some conclusions. One of them is the famous line, “Follow your bliss.” But what you may or may not know is that not only did Joe coin this phrase, he went on to say something else. And the next thing he said, when understood and APPLIED, is staggering.

Joe went on to say, “When you follow your bliss, doors will open where there were no doors before, and where there are no doors for anyone else.”

Now, wait a minute - I know that’s just a sentence, but COME ON! That is CRAY CRAY!

He is basically saying that when we do what we love, The Uni-verse opens up and WELCOMES us into our dream. There will be trials, there will be tests, there will be epic moments of facing our fear - and yet, all the while, we have our bliss.

His PROMISE is that doors will open. And this is a man who has studied ALL the STORIES from EVERY CORNER of the EARTH, ALL the faiths, ALL the religions, ALL the wisdom that mankind has to offer us, boils down to this - for Joe.

So if ALL the wisdom of mankind can be boiled down to this - what the HELL are we doing wasting our time doing ANYTHING else?

    Seriously!

    What gives?

If you are like me, I was hypnotized by the collective stories of the world. Stories of economic turmoil, stories of death, destruction and how bad everything is. And yet - at the same time, no matter what is going on in the “man made” world - when we plant a seed and nourish it properly, it grows. The sun still shines. The waves still roll.

Life BLOOMS all around us. And here we are worried about lack.

If we take a moment to actually LOOK AROUND, we might notice that we are surrounded by a THRIVING planet with ABUNDANCE EVERYWHERE! We might notice that just because bad things happen, doesn’t mean we can’t make the best of them. Or just because “the economy” is in a certain place, doesn’t mean there aren’t AMPLE opportunities to SERVE and ATTRACT abundance as a result.

I don’t care who you are going to vote for in November - they can’t save you. What will save you is FOLLOWING YOUR BLISS.

And when you do, FREAKIN DOORS will OPEN! HELLO!

What are we waiting for? Yes, please participate in the world, but don’t let the world DEFINE WHO YOU ARE!

Only you and The Divine can do that. And while you’re busy following your bliss, watching doors open as you step out in faith, you are going to mystify and impress other people who can’t believe you are bucking the trend. And some people aren’t going to celebrate you following your bliss, but who FREAKIN CARES?

Do you want to follow the wisdom of ALL MANKIND and follow your bliss (and in doing so be supported by The Uni-verse the same way a seed is supported), or do you want to outsource your power to the stories of the world and let OTHER PEOPLE define what’s possible and true for you?

  4. …Instead of demanding what we want and wanting it now, can we ask The Uni-verse for what we want, and then let go? Can we rest in the peace of the moment knowing we are provided for and that the perfect thing, which is probably better than what we asked for in the first place, will show up?

Do we really have the faith to live the maybe? Or better put, can we see that the delays of The Uni-verse are not Its denials? Can we let go and let things unfold naturally?

The Truth is that the perfect outcome will happen…

…Ask for the emotional sobriety and peace of mind to be okay living the maybes. Get comfortable in the in-between. Know that delays are not denials and have fun in the moment, in the mean time, as it evolves into an ever better version of reality.

  5. LEAD BY EXAMPLE, NOT BY THEORY!

What’s more convincing… Someone who says one thing and does another, or someone who walks his or her talk? It’s easy to know the answer when you read it in my blog. Of COURSE it’s the person who is walking their talk - DUH.
But in life, it’s not so obvious.

If you REALLY want to inspire people, walk your talk. The days of “do as I say, not as I do” - are over! With the Internet and social media, we live in a world of transparency. No falsities. And why this is GREAT for people on the spiritual path in the spiritual world is that the playing field is level and we can all embrace our humanity.

No one is perfect. No one. Not ONE self-help person you look up to is the perfect image that you imagine them to be. In many ways, those of us who are the “teachers” are the most messed up ones because we have come to teach what we need to learn ourselves.

The good news here is that we can now use our pain, our weakness, our shortcomings and our mistakes, not as more reasons for us to be WRONG, but we can now share them authentically and know that we are not alone. In this allowingness of our humanity, empathy and compassion emerge, as does a sense of connection.

Think about it. If TDL was just a big soapbox for how I thought I was so perfect, it would be total BS and you could see that a mile away. My guess is that the reason why you love TDL so much is that I just tell you my story, my faults AND also my insights and strengths. It SPANS the human experience instead of just reaching for some unreachable height of spiritual perfection that actually denies life itself.

Life is messy. We mess up. We have great moments. We have horrible moments. We have brilliant moments. The goal is to allow and admit them all. To be willing to look bad, silly or goofy. To not aim for perfection, but rather express ourselves as we are, strong, scared and in human form.

So, if you want to inspire someone, do it with who you are BEING, not what you are saying.

How can what you SAY and what you DO link up? Leave a comment on the blog and let me know!

  9. You don’t need to pretend everything is okay when it’s not.

When you are feeling blue, try to practice gratitude.

This will help to shift your perspective from the negative to the positive.

Try to react differently than you normally do.

    Always respect yourself and others.

If you are being disrespected by another, react with kindness and try not to take it personally.

    Always share love.

    Be love.

    Have faith.

The darkness, the deep inexpressible pain, the hurt, the is only building you for greatness.

    I promise you this.

You just have to willing to change.

    And that is all.
