1. To have the human experience means to feel both pain and pleasure equally.

And to figure out that there is no differenc between the two.

But never should we always try to be happy.

And never should we always try to avoid pain.

    Because we’re only human!

    We aren’t perfect!

    So stop trying to be!

  2. True Failure Lies in Never Allowing Yourself the Beauty of Making a Mistake

Making mistakes is one of the wonderful things about beng human.

    Trying different things.

Seeing all that life has to offer.

Finding what makes your heart sing.

These are just some of the benefits of making a mistake.

We should never fear stepping out of the ordinary, doing something differently, being bold, standing in our full power.

Having the confidence to try something and perhaps not being the best, not being perfect, not doing something “right”, and having faith in yourself and the universe that everything is okay just as it is…

    That is true power.

    That is true beauty.

So what if you tripped in front of the whole cafeteria and everyone laughed at you.

    Laugh too.

    It’s funny.

    Lighten up.

    And let it go.

    Everyone trips.

    Everyone falls.

But the power and beauty truly lies in picking yourself back every single time.

In knowing that by contininung on, by trying something differently, by taking a different path, by surrending to the power of right now and letting go of any expected outcome…

That is the beauty of human existence.

    Let the sunshine in.

    Breathe.

    Smile.

    Laugh.

    Love.

    Never fear.

    The universe is always here.

  3. Want to be More Spiritual? Be More Human!

Wayne Dyer and Deepak Chopra have said many, many times that we are “Spiritual beings having a human experience.” And this is SO true.

One thing I’ve found in the personal growth world is that many of us tend to focus so much on the spiritual side of things that we forget to be HUMAN.

I think that personal growth, spiritual work and walking on The Path are not really about being more spiritual. I think they are about being more human.

I used to think it was about being more spiritual, but that’s not what I am thinking and feeling today. Because, at the end of the day, what does being more spiritual REALLY mean? To me, it means simply to be more Loving. It doesn’t mean to be more right, or more in charge or more anything other than more LOVING.

And when we are more loving, towards ourselves AND others, then the direct result of this is to become more HUMAN. When we love ourselves and have compassion towards ourselves, we have more love and compassion for others. This makes us more human. This takes away the separation and allows us to step into Oneness where we focus on and celebrate what unites us and love, but not condemn what makes us different.

So, instead of trying to measure ourselves against some spiritual standard of achievement of how we SHOULD BE and beating ourselves up for what we AREN’T, I truly believe it’s about being more LOVING and, as a result, being more HUMAN. After all, why would spiritual beings choose to exist in human form other than to experience the joy, ecstasy and total amazingness of giving, receiving and BEING LOVE?

This means - honoring our emotions. Learning from them. Not making them wrong. Not making ourselves wrong for always needing to learn. Not making ourselves wrong for not always getting it right. Not making ourselves wrong for our mistakes. Not making ourselves wrong for having our dark side and fear - NO.

RATHER, it is about accepting, loving and knowing that all these things are what make us human. And when we LOVE, ACCEPT and EMBRACE these, we raise our vibration (that is to say, feel better) and that new vibration emanates OUTWARD into the world and people can FEEL IT, instead of needing to PROVE anything.

To me, this is what the spiritual journey is all about - becoming more human.

How’s this resonate with you? Could you benefit from being more human? Leave a comment on the blog and let me know!

  4. Perhaps projections of the world living side by side with robots has already come true;

When we are avoidant of feelings.

    When we live in fear.

When we get up and do the same thing, at the same time, every day.

    When we become numb.

When we fail to interact with each other, but instead, form close relationships with electronics.

    When we shut off.

    When we tune out.

    We become robotic.

    We are no longer human.

And that’s no way to live.

    I’m not a sinner.

    I’m just human! :)
