“The wise know that too much doing and a thing won’t get done. The secret to manifesting on the highest level is to find the perfect amount of doing and non-doing to allow the doing to be done. Sometimes much more can be accomplished simply by letting go and trusting.”—Jackson Kiddard, author and polymath via The Daily Love
“You must view your life with what I call “kindsight.” Instead of slapping your forehead and asking, “What was I thinking?” you must breathe and ask the kinder question, “What was I learning?”—If Love Hurts…
Self-care is time that you take out for you, to do something nice for yourself physically or mentally. It can be as simple as indulging in those cupcakes you’ve been dreaming about all weekend, giving yourself a pedicure, having a fashion show by yourself in your bedroom, or making a homemade…
“Somewhere inside of you likes a healer. Regardless of what’s printed on your business card, you were put on this earth to help others, to love others, to make this world a better place. If you’re not yet sure how you might use your healing superpowers in service to the world, that’s probably a sign. You and I aren’t close enough yet. Will you be my BFF? Loaded with footie PJs, sleepovers, and all the answers you need,”—Your Inner Pilot Light
Some of us hold the resentment within and take it out on ourselves.
And some people choose to always believe in themselves and have compassion toward others no matter what life throws at them (YAY THEM!!! WE SHOULD ALL DO THIS!!!!)
But, for the most part, a huge percent of us probably both take out our aggression on others and ourselves.
I, too, have chosen to take my aggression and fear out on myself and others.
What is really happening is that I have been using these tactics to avoid the truth.
I have been afraid of seeing the truth.
I have been afraid of facing my deepest, darkest emotions.
I have been afraid of letting go in healthy ways.
I have been afraid of being my true self, because people might not like me.
So after awhile of not releasing emotions in a positive manner and facing the truth, one starts to get very angry and resentful (and get a very negative perspective of the world… which, helllooooo… the world is so beautiful and full of opportunities if you BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!!!!)
Up until not too long ago, I think I much would have rather died than felt the pain that I held within my body, mind, and soul for as long as I could remember.
IT IS OKAY TO GET ANGRY IN HEALTHY WAYS!!!
Punch a punching bag.
Punch a pillow.
Sing at the top of your lungs.
Dance it out.
Please don’t run away from those deep, dark feelings.
Please don’t avoid feeling by eating too much or too little, by doing drugs or alcohol, by overexercising, by abusing others…
Because on the other side, there is happiness and lightness.
Holding resentment within only creates more pain and suffering in the long run.
So allow yourself to be free now.
Feel the beauty of your true self.
Choose to see the truth.
Choose to be the truth.
Choose to be your true self.
You are beauitfull, whole, and complete exactly as you in the moment.
“If we do not turn inwards and train our mind, but instead expend all our energy on arranging and rearranging the external aspects of our existence, then our suffering will continue.”—Lama Zopa Rinpoche (via shaktilover)
